Losing My Mind
Losing my mind over you
Learning to live without you
Do I think I’m over you?
Clearly, I’m not
When you are near life is great
There are fountains and museums
And mimosas and champagne
We go brunching on the Avenue
And across the Boulevard
There’s a perfect little shoppe
With the perfect music box just for us
And the music box begins to play
And the Ballerina dances
Then I turn a feel your hand slip away
As the music changes stanzas
Losing my mind as you leave
Watching the end of my dream
Stuck in a bad movie scene
Clearly I’m lost
Look, here she runs to me now
Bringing flowers, bringing candy
And a broken music box
And the chocolate, it is melting
And the truffles are all gone
Then I hear her siren song
And across this garden run to her arms
But the meadow seems so far away
And her locket holds the ashes
Of a Lover’s Dream from yesterday
When the carousel collapses
Losing my mind over you
Learning to live without you
Do I think I’ll get over you?
Clearly, I don’t
Clearly, I won’t
Clearly, I can’t get over you
